"Saving Rainbow"

Granite Construction wants to put a dirty, polluting, noisy industrial complex in our communities! We will not stand for it!
Rainbow is the closest community to the proposed site. We will be the ones to be most affected by the negative impacts. The traffic will be horrendous; 1,600 truck trips added to I-15 at Rainbow Valley Blvd., bringing the effects of dangerous diesel exhaust pollution. The air quality we enjoy will be exchanged for polluted, dirty air carrying the invisible crystalline silica particulates far and wide on the winds that blow through the Rainbow Gap.
We need to save Rainbow.
Living in San Diego County, we have no voice. We don't count. We have no control over the decisions of Riverside County Planning Commission or Supervisors, no one "hears" us.
The Rainbow Community Planning Group has written an articulate, outstanding letter to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors asking that they "become our representative, stand up for residents in Rainbow and Fallbrook; get involved." This is a San Diego issue. The letter was sent three weeks ago. There has been no reply.

It is up to us to save Rainbow. I say let's all write the San Diego County
Board of Supervisors and tell them how we feel about being ignored. If our own supervisor won't stand up for us, maybe another will.
